The Community Pop Choir at CCM is a group of singers from the greater Los Angeles area who share a common love of popular music. The choir is FREE and OPEN TO THE PUBLIC, and meets twice a week on Mondays & Wednesdays from 3 to 4:30pm. Attendance at a minimum of one meeting per week is required for singers who wish to perform with the choir; CCM students are required to attend all sessions.

Here’s how we do it: Come to the session on time, receive your lyric sheets, warm up, and begin singing with the Community Pop Choir! You will pick your voice part (Soprano, Alto, Tenor, or Bass) based on your voice range, and by the end of the session you will be harmonizing on a few popular songs. We record practice tapes at each session, to help members of the choir memorize their parts. Then, when you feel ready, begin performing at our quarterly concerts!

We do not require auditions or sight-reading. All we ask is that you commit to memorizing your parts if you wish to join us in performance! For more information, or to sign up for the CCM Community Pop Choir mailing list and get email notifications about our performances, email [email protected].
