PROGRAM & PERSONAL STATEMENT

PLEASE NOTE: The application for the Preparatory Quarter can be found here.
All applicants must submit a Personal Statement of at least 250 words that answers the following questions:

1. We admit students who possess a strong sense of commitment to popular music. How long have you been making music? What are your long-term musical goals?

2. We admit students with strong artistic sensibilities. Who or what provides you with artistic inspiration as a musician? Which styles or subgenres of popular music are you most interested in?

3. We help students achieve their personal goals in music. In what areas do you hope you will improve or develop the most by attending California College of Music?

4. We seek students with exceptional talent and the potential for greatness. Have you received any musical awards or academic honors? Have you participated in any studio recordings or live performances? (Don't leave anything out!)

Please enter your Personal Statement in the box below:
Are you currently facing economic hardship that might qualify you for a tuition reduction?
If yes, we will require you to submit proof of economic hardship, normally a copy of last year's tax return.
Please enter the email address of a teacher willing to submit a Letter of Recommendation on your behalf.

A Letter of Recommendation from a teacher you have worked with is required for all scholarship applicants. Music teachers are preferred, but any teacher is acceptable. Students who wish to be considered for a talent-based scholarship will be evaluated based on the artistic merit demonstrated by their audition videos as well as their letter of recommendation.
